Mercedes Benz Live Traffic Information vs Googe Maps
Live traffic information is quite self-explanatory and this is the biggest “competitor” to Google Maps (also Waze, since Waze is owned by Google).

the basics
I’m passionate about digital innovation, consumer psychology, marketing and data-driven businesses.
I’m currently exploring opportunities in technology.
For the last two years I’ve worked on multiple projects gaining lots of experience in automation with bots (chat/voice), data-driven market intel & marketing (crawling, processing and right usage of data), D2C E-commerce, improved efficiency of of traditional businesses using technology such as Aesthetic Medicine Clinics, Nail Salons, Rehab Clinics, B2B Loans, and some more.
I previously founded a startup making home renovation as easy as buying online, looking to disrupt the $450B+ home remodeling industry in the US (read more here).
Previously, I led After-Sales Communications for Mercedes-Benz Cars out of the headquarters in Stuttgart.
I started my career at Mercedes-Benz working as an Innovation Scout at the Business Innovation team of Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America in Silicon Valley, and after some time, decided to embrace the next challenge at our headquarters. I was part of Mercedes-Benz for almost 5 years now and it was an awesome journey to be part of the digital transformation of the automotive industry.
Previous to Mercedes, I was the CEO & Co-founder of Staytuned, a Palo Alto-based Startup building contextual user interfaces. Before that, I used to be an Investment Banker at Cartagena Capital (now Bryan Garnier).
I’ve gathered experienced as an entrepreneur, investment banker and working with corporates both as an insider, as well as an external consultant or advisor. I equally enjoy innovation in the corporate or startup context and while they do have different advantages and disadvantages, I do not believe one is always better than the other one. I believe that they are simply different ways of reaching a goal, which is providing consumers with great services or products while maximizing profitability.
I’ve done some angle investments through New Horizons Venture Capital and I enjoy discussing with entrepreneurs about their ideas, products and services and always happy to provide advice or help when I believe in their vision and when I happen to know the space.
I am also an avid investor in stock, crypto, P2P lending, crowd-investing and more.
Besides that, as almost anyone nowadays, I consider traveling a hobby and I’ve gathered my fair share of stories in 50+ countries.
I’ve also applied for the record Guinness for the BBQ at the Highest altitude @ 5,100 meters on top of a volcano in Mexico.
Whatever I write here, are merely my own perspectives.
thoughts put into words

Why would someone pay for the Mercedes Navigation system (or any other OEMs navigation system) if there is Google Maps for free? This is quite a common question amongst car owners and while Google Maps is still king, there is a substantial amount of users pay for the navigation systems that are offered by OEMs
I’ve learned an obvious and simple advice that I could definitely give to any frequent traveler, which could save them a lot of trouble.
Well, this morning I used the Hey Mercedes (MBUX) voice assistant in my car to set the navigation to drive to the office, just like I do every day, but somehow this morning it decided to call one of my contacts.
Driving a Tesla for a week as a Mercedes-Benz fan & owner. Read about my experience and highlights. It felt like digital vs. luxury.
Regardless of Facebook’s failure to protect privacy of users, Mark Zuckerberg’s Congressional hearing seems to resonate with why many corporations struggle to embrace innovation through digital products.
The average age of the 100 US senators is 63, which is the same average age for members of boards of directors of S&P 500 companies. Questions like the ones asked by members of the congress might not be so uncommon at board meetings big corporations.
